was born and raised in New York. She has a B.A. in Education and Fine Art from Southampton College of Long Island University and earned a Masters degree in Learning Handicapped from California Lutheran University. After retiring from the United States Air Force she made her home in San Antonio. Once here, she resumed a teaching career and worked as a middle school art teacher.
Currently Lisa is a member of the San Antonio Art Education Association and the Texas Art Education Association. Each year she is a juror for VASE (Visual Art Scholastic Event), an annual competition for Texas high school students.
Since retiring from the North East School District, Lisa has begun to immerse in a variety of art forms. A fan of music, she played Mrs. Mopps in the musical version of A Christmas Carol, 2010, at the San Pedro Playhouse. In addition to painting pet portraits, she enjoys creating a variety of art to include printing, mixed media, and oil and cold wax.
