founded in 2010
to help further women artists through exhibition, promotion and education. The organization’s name was inspired by Artemisia Gentileschi — a woman artist, practicing her craft during the 1600's. She became the first celebrated female painter in the all male art canon.

GAGA is an ART ORGANIZATION
focusing on women artists from South Texas. We received our 501(c)(3) status in 2011 and, since then, have exhibited our artists widely throughout the region. We invite you to explore our member pages, learn a little about their personal stories as well as experience images of their work.

SERVING WOMEN artists
We are not a gallery— not even a physical space. We are an amoebic think tank, enabled by todays' technology, harnessed in service to professional women artists.

CELEBRATing 13 yearS
Not only has GAGA flourished but it has tripled in size since its inception, today boasting well over eighty members. This growth is testament to our success and hard work— affirmation of the societal/cultural value finally being placed on women’s work.
